Directions for finding this Franklin County Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio:

From Upper Arlington (a northwest suburb of Columbus, Ohio, drive East on East North Broadway to Olentangy River Road. Turn right. Before reaching Ackerman Rd, the old part of the cemetery is on the left side of the road.

Old Section:

Buried here are Charles Albert Leach #5, Hazel Kirk Thatcher #6, and two of their children ...Dorothy Ann Leach and Robert Edmund Leach (sister and brother of Russell Leach #3). Buried next to Robert is his wife, Marie Chumbley. (All are buried in Section 61, Lot 160; Dorothy in Space 1, Hazel in Space 2, Charles in Space 3, Robert in Space 5, Marie in Space 6). Other relatives buried here are Jennie R. Wannamaker (Aunt of Hazel Kirk Thatcher and sister of Mattie Steely Rice #12) and her husband William Howard Wanamaker. They are buried in Section 63, Lot 29, Spaces 2 & 3. In Section 61, Lot 201, Space 6 is the tombstone of Thomas J. Thatcher. His relation to Hazel Kirk Thatcher is unknown. There are several other Thatchers buried in in the old section of Union Cemetery.

Behind this stone and arranged from right to left are stones for Dorothy, Hazel, Charles, Robert, and Marie.

New Section: In the newer part of the cemetery (on the west side of Olentangy River Road and closer to East North Broadway), is where Russell Leach #3 is buried. Once you enter this part of the cemetery, proceed to the end of the street. There will be a circle. Turn right and go to the corner across from the mausoleum. Buried there near a sycamore tree is Russell. (He is in Section 10, Lot 185, Space 1.)
