1732 Passenger List Signature Facsimiles

from the Pink John & William

 

Hans Emick (#415), his wife and several children and Hans Philip Glais (#201) and his wife were passengers on the Pink John & William. Hans Emick and his wife are the webmaster's 6th great grandparents. Hans Philip Glais and his wife are the webmaster's 5th great grandparents. The John & William arrived in Philadelphia on 17 October 1732 from Rotterdam, Netherlands via Dover, England. During passage, the ship underwent a mutiny.

Upon arrival in Philadelphia, the men signed their names or wrote their mark. The statement between the horizontal lines at the top of the document below states, "Palatines imported in the Pink John & William of Lunderlands C. Rotterdam but last from Dover for Clearance thence 2."
