69. Jonathan Dunham (According to Massachusetts Town Marriage Records Search Results, on 24 September 1772 in Tisbury, Jonathan was married to Rebecca Norton.) (She died 3 weeks after the marriage- Reference The History of Martha's Vineyard (MA) by Banks, 1911 Vol. 3: 161). Jonathan married his second wife ? Atsatt (Edget) (Adsit)(70) about 1779 (Ref. Banks 3:28 & 161) in Vineyard Haven or Edgartown, Dukes, Massachusetts (Ref. LDS). According to Susan Williams (a Dunham Family genealogist), the location was Conway, Hampshire (now Franklin) County, Massachusetts Ca 1770 for his 2nd marriage.


Born: 23 March 1751 of Daniel Dunham (137) & Sarah Huxford (Sarah Nuxford) (138) at Chilmark, Mass. (Martha's Vineyard, Dukes Co. MA (Ref. Banks Vol. 3:161) According to LDS, he was Christened on the day he was born.

Died: 12 May 1829 in Muskingum County, Ohio (Ancestory.com and LDS say 3 July 1805 in Muskingum, Ohio) (Susan Williams says 3 July 1805 in Muskingum County, OH). The Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots, Vol. 1, page 55 Serial: 11912; Volume: 4 states that Jonathan is buried in a family cemetery in Dunham Twp., Washington, Co. Ohio, but that is not the correct Jonathan.

Jonathan and his wife had 13 children: an unnamed infant who lived 11 days, , Harlock, Jonathan, an unnamed infant who lived less than a month, Silas, Walter (35), Anna, Sarah, Rebecca, Deborah, Martha, Daniel, and Thomas.

Jonathan was still living in Conway, MA in 1800 according to the 1800 Census, as researched by Susan Williams. If he moved to Ohio, it had to be later than 19 February 1803 when his daughter Deborah died of measles.
